Iwa Candle Co.
It began with a vision that Dawn had while experimenting with a candle starter kit that was given to her from her husband. What started as creating, learning, and pouring candles for fun, quickly grew into what you see today. A small business built on creativity, care, and intention. A simple love of creating ambience, aromatherapy, and wanting to turn that passion into something meaningful.
Dawn was drawn to soy wax because its clean-burning, more sustainable and non-toxic, making it better for both people and the environment. Each candle Dawn makes reflects her goal of offering thoughtfully made products that bring comfort, relaxation, and a personal touch into every day life.
‘Iwa candle company was created with a vision that you see represented in the products today, capturing a true tropical experience and ambience. They are inspired by all of the natural beauty and tropical surroundings of Hawai’i.
Iwa Candle Company, LLC was established in August 2024 and is located on the North Shore of Oahu in Hale’iwa, HI, which is the home of the beloved ‘Iwa bird. (pronounced ee-va)
The ‘Iwa (great frigatebird) is a very special, sacred, respected and well-loved bird in Hawai’i. It symbolizes guidance and pathway, represents safe passage and finding your way home.
